Every experience begins with you.

There is no fixed routine at L’Art of Lightness

Each session begins with a conversation, an understanding of how you feel, and the time you want to give yourself.

From there, Marie-Jo shapes the experience around your comfort, preferences, and the kind of attention your body needs in that moment.

One Body. Not One Routine.

Personalized care should feel personal.

You do not need to arrive knowing which massage technique is right for you.

Marie-Jo draws on more than four decades of experience across movement, body awareness, physical education, massage, aromatherapy, and hands-on care to adapt each experience to the person in front of her. Pressure can change. Pace can change. Areas of focus can change.

What matters is that the experience feels right for you.

Every appointment is intentionally unhurried, attentive, and shaped around the individual rather than a predetermined sequence.

Core Experiences

Give yourself the time your body has been asking for.

The core L’Art of Lightness experiences are designed for those who want personalized full-body massage with time to step away from everyday demands and reconnect with themselves.

Personalized Massage

60 Minutes | $135

A focused, full-body massage personalized around your preferences, comfort, and areas where you would most value attention.

Your session begins with a brief conversation so Marie-Jo can understand how you are feeling that day and adapt the pressure, pace, techniques, and areas of focus accordingly.

Aromatherapy is thoughtfully woven into the experience as part of Marie-Jo’s signature approach, with an unscented option always available.

Soi, Unhurried

90 Minutes | $185

Signature Experience  – Time devoted entirely to you.

“Soi” means “self.” Soi, Unhurried is the signature L’Art of Lightness experience — created for those who want more time to settle, let go of the day, and allow the massage to unfold without feeling rushed.

The extended session gives Marie-Jo greater freedom to work attentively across the body, adapt the experience as it develops, and spend more time where you need it most.

Aromatherapy, thoughtful sensory details, personalized pressure, and Marie-Jo’s unhurried approach come together to create an experience centered entirely around you.

Focused Rituals

Sometimes a smaller area deserves complete attention.

Not everyone wants or needs a full-body massage every time.

The L’Art of Lightness Focused Rituals concentrate Marie-Jo’s attention on specific areas of the body, creating a deeply personal 45-minute experience with its own rhythm and character.

Hands & Feet Ritual

45 Minutes | $105

Hands and feet carry us through almost everything we do, yet they are often among the most overlooked parts of the body.

This focused ritual is devoted entirely to them.

Inspired by reflexology techniques, Marie-Jo uses precise pressure, attentive massage, and enveloping movements to create a grounded, calming experience centered on the hands and feet.

It can also be a thoughtful choice for people who prefer a more contained form of touch or do not want a full-body massage.

Aromatherapy is incorporated according to your preferences, with an unscented option available.

Scalp & Face Ritual

45 Minutes | $105

The scalp and face are areas where many people hold more tension than they realize.

Inspired in part by Marie-Jo’s exposure to Ayurvedic traditions through her travels and personal experiences, this focused ritual brings deliberate attention to the scalp and face through slow, precise, and deeply soothing touch.

The experience is designed around stillness, sensory relaxation, and the feeling of giving your mind permission to become quiet for a while.

Marie-Jo’s approach is not that of a cosmetic facial. The focus is massage, touch, personal attention, and the experience of letting go.

Aromatherapy may be incorporated according to your preferences and intake information, with an unscented option always available.

A Signature Rooted in Provence

Aromatherapy is woven into the experience.

For Marie-Jo, aromatherapy is not an optional upgrade or a separate treatment. It is part of the way she creates the L’Art of Lightness experience.

Her knowledge has been shaped by aromatherapy training completed in Provence with a pharmacist, including programs delivered in partnership with PRANARÔM. Before your appointment, your intake form gives you the opportunity to share any allergies, sensitivities, preferences, or relevant information. Marie-Jo then considers those details when preparing the experience.

If you prefer no essential oils at all, simply select the unscented option.

The philosophy remains the same: every detail should be shaped around the person receiving the massage.

Shaped Around You

The experience can change because
you can change.

What felt right during your last visit may not be what you want today. That is why Marie-Jo does not approach each appointment with a fixed script.

Your experience can be adapted through:

Pressure

From lighter, more flowing touch to firmer pressure according to your preferences and comfort.

Aromatherapy

Essential oils are selected thoughtfully, with an unscented option always available.

Pace

Some experiences call for slower, more continuous movements. Others may benefit from more focused attention.

Sensory Details

Warmth, towels, oils, pacing, and the overall rhythm of the experience are considered as part of the whole.

Areas of Focus

You can share where you would most value attention and where you would prefer not to be touched.

Communication

You are always encouraged to communicate what feels comfortable throughout the session.

What to Expect

Your experience begins
before the massage itself.

Before

You will complete a Client Intake Form covering preferences, sensitivities, allergies, relevant health information, recent procedures, and anything Marie-Jo should know before your appointment. When you arrive, there is time for a brief conversation about how you feel and what you would like from the experience.

During

Your massage is adapted as the session unfolds. You can communicate preferences at any time, or simply settle into the quiet and allow Marie-Jo to guide the experience.

After

There is no need to rush immediately back into the day. Take a moment. Notice how you feel. And return when your body tells you it is time.

Not Sure Where to Begin?

Start with the time and type of attention you want.

I want a complete personalized massage.

I want more time and the fullest experience.

I prefer focused attention on my hands and feet.

I want a calming experience centered on my scalp and face.

Still unsure? Marie-Jo can help you decide.

More Than Technique

Experience guides the hands.

Marie-Jo’s work is shaped by a lifetime of studying and observing the body.

Her background in physical education, movement, body awareness, massage, aromatherapy, and exposure to different wellness traditions influences the way she listens, observes, and adapts.

But expertise alone is not the experience.

That is why Marie-Jo intentionally limits the number of appointments she accepts. She wants every person to receive the same thing: Her complete attention

Questions Before You Book?

A few answers before your experience begins.

Aromatherapy is part of Marie-Jo’s signature approach, but your preferences always come first. An unscented experience is available if you have allergies, sensitivities, or simply prefer no essential oils.

No. For the full-body experiences, you choose the duration. Marie-Jo personalizes the session from there.

The ritual is inspired by reflexology techniques, but it is presented as a focused hands-and-feet massage experience rather than a standalone reflexology service.

No. It is a massage experience focused on the scalp and face. It is not a cosmetic or esthetic facial treatment.
